Install Notes

bullet

The install book is just a "Guide" not a complete how too, sorry GV, but I found the book to be poor

bullet

The supplement sheet with the book was a little better, but still found errors - there is conflicting data on the type fluid to use as well

bullet

When removing the old Transmission adapter look out for fluid.  I lost about a QT on the ground, was not expecting fluid to come out

bullet

After install had to get Drive Line adjusted due to vibration a 58 - 63 MPH and 68 - 73 MPH  just those ranges caused issues

bullet

On initial test drive noticed my MPG went from 13.1 to 14.5, I suspect it will go higher when I get out of town

bullet

I had to remove transmission support brackets from the frame to get the old adapter out

bullet

Make sure you mark the drive shaft with white chalk prior to removing so you can get it lined back up

bullet

The PCM connection was the biggest pain in this installation.  I wish there was another location to get the VSS signal, this part took me 3 hours

bullet

Take lots of pictures before you start and during the install this is helpful on reassembly
